Bridgeland In Cypress Texas
While The Woodlands is filling up, Bridgeland is building up. Bridgeland is a master planned community located just off Fry Road and a couple of miles south of Highway 290. There will be different villages that range in price from 200,000 to custom built homes in excess of 1 million. Ultimately Bridgeland will cover roughly the size of the inside area of the 610 Loop and straddle the new Grand Parkway.
Bridgeland has a visitor and welcome center where you can learn about all the amenities, such as walking trails around the community lakes, an activity center with a pool and splash pad, sports fields, tennis courts, disk golf course, lakes that are stocked with fish for catch and release fishing, bird watching, non-motorized boating, swim teams, tennis camps, clubhouse with a full kitchen and meeting rooms, as well as a fitness center. What more can you ask for?
Three highly acclaimed public school systems will serve the Bridgeland community. Cy-Fair ISD, Katy ISD and Waller ISD. There will also be private school within the community to provide for different educational options for your children. The plans are for 6 elementary schools, 2 middle schools and 1 high school. Pope Elementary opened for the 2013-2014 school year.
An upcoming event in Bridgeland is the 7th Annual Nature Fest on Saturday, April 26th, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Staples Safari Zoo will be back for a third year. There will be hourly animal shows which will include the Primarily Primates show featuring a capuchin monkey who starred in the Eddie Murphy film, Dr. Dolittle. There will also be some newly rescued animals this year including Rory, a lion cub, and a baby buffalo named Jackson. Some other exciting activities will be outdoor laser tag, pony and camel rides, a trackless train, pony rides, inflatable kids zone, arts and crafts, face painting, a farmer's market and some of the most popular Houston food trucks! Many of the activities are complimentary while some require a small fee. All proceeds will be given to Staples Safari Zoo and Habitat for Humanity Northwest Harris County. Come one, come all to see the beautiful Bridgeland community and have fun too on April 26th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
