New Mixed Use Development Known As CityPlace Near New ExxonMobil Corporate Headquarters
New 60-acre mixed-use development in north Houston to include 400,000 square feet of retail space throughout the development called CityPlace, formerly known as Springwoods Village Town Center to feature millions of square feet of retail and office space in addition to two hotels and a luxury multifamily complex. Located at Interstate 45, the Grand Parkway and the Hardy Toll Road near Exxon Mobil's new 385-acre corporate headquarters. Leases have not been signed but movie theaters and a health club have expressed interest. It's anticipated that a diverse mix of restaurants and apparel stores will be signing on soon. During the first phase of retail to be complete in first quarter of 2016 will include the following.
10,000 square feet on the ground floor of a 268-unit, Class A multifamily apartment community.
Three waterfront restaurant sites.
30,000 square feet of space with parking garages surrounding a central green space.
Also included are two Class A office building, which will total 440,000 square feet. In the forth quarter of 2015 the first building will be delivered and include 27,000 square feet of first-floor retail space. CityPlace is being developed by Houston-based Patrinely Group, CDC Houston and San Antonio-based USAA Real Estate Co. for an undisclosed amount. CDC Houston, a subsidiary of New York-based Coventry Development Corp., is developing the 1,800-acre Springwoods Village master-planned community. The Houston office of Gensler is the architect, and Houston-based Harvey Builders is the general contractor.
